Family Mediation Services
I always say that divorce is a human process with a legal document attached to it. Before, during, and after the legal documents are filed, those involved have no choice but to navigate the (sometimes treacherous) waters of changing relationships. When conflict leaves you feeling angry, confused, and looking for a clear path forward, mediation can help.
What Is Family Mediation?
At it’s core, mediation is about sitting down with a neutral third party who is there to help people have a conversation. The process fosters productive communication and encourages understanding. Through mediation, people are empowered to construct the creative solutions that will best serve their needs and the needs of their family.
Who Is It For?
Mediation can benefit any family members in conflict. It’s helpful in resolving disputes related to co-parenting, parent/child disagreements, or struggles that arise within blended families.
How Does It Work?
I begin with a consultation for all of my clients. This helps me gain some information about the issue and we can discuss whether mediation is the right course of action for everyone involved. If it’s decided that mediation is appropriate, we’ll schedule a session and get to work.
